Chael Sonnen is no longer set to fight Forrest Griffin in December, he is now bound for coaching against current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Ironically, Jones (17-1) originally turned down a Sonnen (28-12-1) replacement fight on late notice at UFC 151, now he is scheduled to compete against him for an entire season of TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) that will begin shooting on October 29 in Las Vegas according to the Los Angeles Times. The season 17 participants will be from the middleweight and light heavyweight classes, including west coast hopefuls Scott Rosa and former welterweight champion Justin Baesman.

"The more I realize how bad the fans want to see me fight Sonnen the more I am beginning to disregard whether he deserves it or not," Jones tweeted. "A part of me wants to do it for the fans. The other part of me feels as if it delegitimizes the importance of (the) championship."

Damien Maia (now 17-4) took on Rick "The Horror" Story (now 14-6) at UFC 153 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The bout didn't take long, Maia used his superior jiu jitsu to outclass Story on the mat and sink in a vicious neck crank that was technically ruled a rear-naked choke.
"Since the first time I saw UFC in Brazil I wanted very much to fight here," Maia said post fight. "To fight here and finish my fight, it's just great. I love this crowd."
