Hulse (Red) landing a right hand.
The IKF 'Art of War' event that took place Sept. 28 was littered with knockout finishes. James Hulse earned a victory by defeating Craig Crose with a first round TKO as the referee stepped in to stop Hulse's onslaught just seconds into the fight. He was able to hurt Crose early with strikes and never let up.
"The first time I knocked him down I thought (the ref) was going to stop it," Hulse told SR (www.srmma.com). "The second time I knocked him down, blood started coming out, ref called it. It made me feel good."
Brandon Andrews (center) shaking hands with Delarosa.
Brandon Andrews was the aggressive striker from the opening bell, as his opponent Rafael Delarosa landed shots later in the round. The second round saw one of the more conclusive finishes of the evening, Andrews dropped Delarosa with a powerful right hand to end the night at the 1:02 mark of the round.
"It felt a little surreal at first because I've been training for a little over two and a half months now," Andrews told SR (www.srmma.com). "There's no words to describe that (knockout). It's one of the greatest feelings I've had in a while."
Banks (BLK Trunks) landing a left hand.
Mario Banks (Woodenman Muay Thai) defeated Lucas Martino for his first career victory. The bout almost went the full three rounds as the two exchanged heavy shots throughout the bout. Banks felt that his running and cardio training helped bolster his stamina, which he used to power his way to a third round TKO victory (1:36).
"It feels great man. I trained hard," Banks told SR (www.srmma.com). "Training was the hardest part, fighting just came naturally. We'll see where else I go."
