ART OF WAR TICKETS
The next episode of 'The Verbal Scrap Podcast' will air Oct. 1 on SRMMA.COM. Here is a snippet of several guest interviews including champion Arlene Culbreth, UFC hopeful Justin Baesman and UCA Rankings Chairman Tom Gaffney. On Oct. 6, Art of WAR is hosting their amateur MMA event entitled 'MMAGOLD' at the Chicken Ranch Casino. The main event of the evening includes Martin "Tarzan" Sandoval (8-4) taking on Rob "Guamanian Devil" Whitlock (0-3). The 145lbs Dawg's Of War female champion, Arlene Culbreth, will be fighting to add another title to her name as she takes on Dona Castro on the same card. The female featherweight title is on the line in this bout, and Culbreth is set on getting her next victory.
"Well coming off a loss I feel I definitely need to redeem myself," Culbreth told SRMMA. "I don't want to disrespect any of the other fighters but I definitely want to make a name for myself, and put on a good show."
BAESMAN ENTERING HIS LAST BOUT.
To get tickets to the show in Jamestown, CA, check out the Chicken Ranch Casino website. Former WFC and Gladiator Challenge welterweight champion, Justin "The Raw Deal" Baesman, recently travelled to Las Vegas for UFC owned 'The Ultimate Fighter' reality television show try outs. Baesman will hopefully become a rising star on the program if he is selected by ZUFFA to be a participant in the coming season. He has tried out for the show at another event previously in his career, and he will be discussing the differences between the two try outs, as well as the process involved with the TUF show.
"(Chicago tryouts) Everybody is sizing each other up and it was almost uncomfortable. Everyone was kind of like 'I'm going to kill you if I have to'," Baesman told SRMMA. "Vegas, it was a little different. I've been in the game a little longer. . . Every body's cracking jokes, getting along. And then when it came time for the jiu jitsu tryouts, then it got serious."

The Battle of the Badges events pit law enforcement, military and firefighters against each other in a boxing ring, with many proceeds going to charities. This particular event is taking place in the open air of downtown Sacramento. With the capitol building as the backdrop, a UCA light heavyweight title eliminator will head the card with police precincts as far as LAPD involved with the boxing event. The main three fights of the card are listed below.
"I'm very excited for (the card and) the title elimination fight, that's the main event," Gaffney told SRMMA. "I think the winner is going to get the current champion James Davis. This card is stacked, it's going to be awesome."

Main Event & Title Eliminator:
Matt Wurdinger, Santa Clara PD vs. Ricky Seward, Big Bear City Fire.

Co-main event for the 147lbs UCA NorCal Title:
Neil Tremethick, U.S. Army vs. Brent Bugarin, Santa Clara SD

175lbs: James Smith, CHP vs. Aurelio Vasquez, LAPD

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at the Battle of the Badges website or at Vallejo's restaurant on 11th and O in downtime Sacramento at any time.  Get more information and hear more interviews on the next episode of 'The Verbal Scrap Podcast', airing Oct. 1 at SRMMA.COM.
