        A Friday night MMA feast for hungry California fight fans will take place in Lemoore under the Tachi Palace Fights banner, as well as being broadcast live online for free. Anthony Avila is set to take on Sergio Quinones on the TPF 14 card with Casey Olson (14-3) and Ian Loveland (15-9) as the main event of the evening. Although Avila trains in the capital city, he is from the the town he'll be returning to September 7.

"I'm actually from Lemoore," Avila told J. Waugh (www.srmma.com). "I'm thankful for the opportunity to show my skills on this show."
       Avila trains with the MMA hub in Sacramento known as Team Alpha Male and an upper eschelon of UFC talent in the organization. He is 8-1 in the professional ranks and earned a previous TPF victory by finishing that bout with a guillotine choke in the first round.
"Just like I talked to you last time at West Coast (Fighting Championships), I just want to get in and get out," Avila told J. Waugh (www.srmma.com). "I don't want to get touched, I don't want no one to touch me. . . Obviously I want to go for the knock out but it just seems that submissions just end up coming."

       His opponent, Quinones, is 7-11 as a professional. He has finished four of his wins before the judges cards were necessary, including three knock outs. He is now on a small losing streak that has Avila well aware of what is at stake in this bout if he can't pull out a victory. Especially considering that Avila hasn't lost since 2008, and has been able to earn six of his wins by finishing his opponent.
"I have everything to lose (in this fight)," Avila told J. Waugh (www.srmma.com). "I was actually at (Quinones') last fight live, he was actually doing really good. He was actually winning the fight and just got caught in a submission."

       Avila (managed my MMAGOLD's Dave Hirshbein) has been training and expanding his regiment in preparation for making the next step to even higher talent. His plan is to finish every opponent as quick as he possibly can. This is even more true as he jokes about plans for his career after professional combat comes to a finish. He is also in the best possible shape he believes he has been.
"I actually acquired strength and conditioning in this camp so this will probably be the strongest and best shape that I've ever been in right now," Avila told J. Waugh (www.srmma.com). "I want to be a model dude. So get in and get out without getting my face cut."
