Scott Rosa took on Jeremy Rosales (now 3-2) in the light heavyweight division on the West Coast Fighting (WFC) Championship card Sept. 8. The bout went all the way to a third round finish by Rosa, who ended the bout with a triangle choke at the 53 seconds mark of the round. The fight did not go his way at all according to Rosa, who discussed on 'The Verbal Scrap Podcast' that he felt the judges had him losing the fight up until the finish.

Rosa lives in Reno, NV, and doesn't have as many opportunities for fights close to home. This is due to many more events taking place on the California side of the border. His last bout was a close loss to the current WFC light heavyweight champion, and coming into this bout he battled sickness shortly before the event.

Scott Rosa (now 4-1) went to the open try outs for 'TUF' (The Ultimate Fighter) television series owned by the UFC after this fight. Rosa hopes to get more recognition of his talents and bigger fights coming his way after his recent efforts to get into the UFC. Also on the card was a heavyweight match up between CJ Leveque (now 3-6) and Orlando Sanchez, who remained undefeated at 3-0. Sanchez was able to pull out a first round submission victory, adding to his two previous first round TKO stoppage victories. Sanchez discussed his future goals toward the UFC.
