UFC 150 happens tonight, August 11, in Denver, CO. A battle of two former training partners at Jackson's MMA, this will most likely be a stepping stone for Donald Cerrone who looks to regain momentum following his defeat against Nate Diaz. Cerrone dazzled Jeremy Stephens with a plethora of punches and kicks at UFC on Fuel 3, expect the same to be in store this Saturday. Guillard tends to overwhelm opponents with shear power, earning several victories within the first frame. But Guillard has seemingly made the mental steps to prepare for the next step in competition.

The Achilles heel of Guillard is his
submission defense, nine of his ten career defeats have been by
submission and eight of those nine losses have come in the first frame to superior grapplers. But Guillard said he is ready to make this a 'Fight of the Night' afaair in Cerrone's home town, "The Cowboy" was very happy to hear that.
"As far as training went I just trained my ass off," Cerrone said at the pre fight presser.
"Did a lot of running to try and get in shape so I can go three rounds
hard just like (Guillard) said 'Fight of the Night' baby."
VILA'S BREAKDOWN:
Cerrone seemingly has a track record for going
for a submission when presented with the opportunity. Cerrone carries a reach advantage and tends to strike
straight and utilize kicks. Guillard will have to close the distance
early and land power strikes in order to keep Cerrone at bay.
However, Cerrone will likely get this fight to the ground and be
added to the big list of fighters who have submitted “The Young
Assassin.”
Prediction:
Cerrone
over Guillard via submission (Triangle choke) late in round 1.
