West Coast Fighting has announced to SRMMA that their upcoming card named RESOLUTION will feature another fight to the card that may even challenge for potential fight of the night honors. Northern California MMA veteran Jaime Jara (32-13) will step into the cage again against a relative new comer to MMA in Richard Rigmaden (2-1). Jara said he is happy to be fighting again in the WFC and is aware of the dangers a young competitor in the sport can bring fight night.
RIGMADEN
"I prepare for everyone the same," Jara stated to Johnny Waugh (www.srmma.com). "Sometimes guys with fewer fights are more dangerous. Especially if you don't know anything about them. . . I always enjoy fighting for WFC and especially fighting close to home."
Rigmaden is coming off of a first round TKO victory at the UP & COMERS 10 event in May of this year. He explained to SR what it means to him to be fighting a veteran like Jara.
"It means a lot. Fighting a guy like Jamie with all his experience is a great opportunity," Rigmaden stated to Johnny Waugh (www.srmma.com). "This is a fight that I would always want but it kind of just happened and I'm excited that it happened."
Rigmaden trains at CEN CAL MMA in Stockton, CA and believes that the work he is doing in his career has him prepared for occasions like this and opponents like Jara. Rigmaden is aware of what a potential victory could do for his career.
"I believe winning this fight will put me in a great position," Rigmaden stated to Johnny Waugh (www.srmma.com). "Because Jamie is a great fighter with a lot of big wins."
Jara is on a losing streak as of late with his last loss coming to the current WFC welterweight champion Justin Baesman, but his 12 knockout finishes and 17 career submission victories are a stern reminder to opponents that Jara, who trains and teaches jiu jitsu with Carnage Fight Team, is dangerous in many aspects of the fight business.
"Anytime the fight goes to the ground my jiu jitsu is a factor," Jara stated to Johnny Waugh (www.srmma.com). "I train very hard at every thing. I intend to impose my will and take the fight where ever I feel comfortable."
