This past Monday, Anderson Silva dramatically changed his usual restrained behavior during his pre-fight media conferences. Attached is a piece with Silva's controversial interview from yesterday

word by Brazilian correspondent Ty Silva. Speaking over the phone to the media to promote UFC 148 Silva finally voiced his extreme frustration and disdain towards Chael Sonnen, and he did so in emphatic manner.
“This guy is a criminal. He is a disgrace to the sport," Silva said. "He does not deserve to be in the UFC. He is a guy that has had problems with the American justice system. He is a guy that has had problems with doping. He does not respect anything. This guy is an imbecile."
Silva held nothing back as he threatened to literally break Sonnen’s bones during their upcoming match up on July 7th at the MGM GRAND in Las Vegas.

"I am going to kick his ass again, that is what I am going to do, there is not much to be talked about. I am going to fuck him up, he is listening to this, playtime is over. There is no use for him to run his mouth anymore, no more talking, we are now getting close to the truth. I am not injured, I am 100%, I am going break his face.”
CONFERENCE CALL:
The champion kept his harsh tone through every sentence he spoke, continuously promising to give Sonnen the worse beating of his life.
“I am going to kick him out of the UFC," Silva said as translated by Ty. "He is going to get beaten as never before in his life. I am going to beat him to teach him how to have manners. All the beating he never took from his mommy and daddy he is going to receive it from me so he learns to have manners and respect people’s countries.”
Sonnen was able to stay on top of Silva during their last fight and the champion answered exactly how will he keep from being underneath Sonnen for the duration of the fight, Silva promised to beat Chael from everywhere.
“Look, from underneath, from top, from the side, standing, he is going to get beat up again," Silva said as translated by Ty. "He is going to take a serious beating. He is going to get his ass kicked. This time there is no fucking around. After we get inside [the octagon] he is going to swallow all of his teeth. I am going to break all of his teeth in his mouth. I am going to pull tooth by tooth out of his mouth. After I fuck him up a lot of people are going to be scared with what is going to happen with the sport. I am dedicated, and prepared, and most importantly committed to doing something no one has ever done in the UFC, break Chael Sonnen’s whole body. He will leave with his face all broken, broken arm, broken leg, I am going to break him all over. Tell him, he is listening, he is going to get severely beaten. He will leave [the octagon] in a stretcher.”
In a reply to a question of where does this fight rank in his life the champion said that it is all business and promised to teach many lessons.
“This fight didn’t affect me personally, it is all professional, but I am going to fuck him up," Silva said as translated by Ty. "He will learn to respect the Brazilian fighters, he will learn to respect the country he disrespected, he will learn to respect the guys who took the sport to where he practices it today, the guys who created the sport he practices today, which is MMA."
Inquired about what is the biggest difference in Silva's mindset leading up to this fight in comparison to their first fight Silva responded as follows.
“There will not be much of a difference," Silva said as translated by Ty. "The last time he fought me he lost, this time he is going to lose and he is going to leave [the octagon] broken to pieces, he is going to need plastic surgery.”
The conference call, which also featured Chael Sonnen, Forest Griffin, and Tito Ortiz, came to an abrupt and awkward end soon after a question to the champion was answered. “The Spider” had exited the conversation. UFC president Dana White acknowledged that there was indeed nothing else to be said by the champion.
