UFC bantamweight number one contender Urijah Faber not only has had his original opponent for the bout changed due to injury but now a change in venue. UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz tore his ACL and Renan Barao (28-1) was moved into the interim title fight against Faber. The fight was set to take place at UFC 148 in Las Vegas on the epic Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen 2 fight card. Now the fight has been moved to UFC 149 as the main event in Calgary.
"I'm not really happy about all the changes," Faber said.  "But there's nothing I can really do to control it so I'm just going to train hard and go fight in Calgary."
Faber expressed that he had been promoting the same day to friends, family and fans for months now and the change of venue wasn't something he was happy about. Although there have been many changes to the fight, Faber discussed the differences between Cruz & Barao.
"Renan Barao and Dominick Cruz are like night and day," Faber said. "Cruz is more of a point fighter. . . Barao is kind of like a bull."
