WHO CAN WE EXPECT TO FINISH THEIR COMPETITION

At the Strikeforce: Rockhold vs Jardine event tomorrow night, airing free on Showtime at 7 PT/ 10 ET, there are still two main card bouts that we haven't discussed.
They both present very interesting match ups because of the styles of fighting each combatant possess that could potentially end the night early for any fighter at the end of their devastating striking.
Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal vs Lorenz Larkin
This fight, in the light heavy weight division, will end by knock out almost guaranteed. Lorenz Larkin
(12-0) has won all three of his Strikeforce bouts in just five calendar months.
Larkin has knock out power in both hands and owns eight knockouts in his career, seven of which came in a row before entering Strikeforce.
Larkin also has an amateur boxing record of five wins and no losses to go with a 10-0 amateur MMA record as well. This allows him to currently claim something many fighters including King Mo cannot, perfection.
To be humbling to Larkin, he did win his last two bouts by decision and has been dominated at times by the wrestling talents of some of his lesser named opponents.
Wrestling that Lawal (8-1) gained plenty of during his time at Oklahoma State University where he was an All-American and Big 12 Conference champion.
Lawal was the former light heavyweight champion before losing to Rafael Calvalcante at Strikeforce: Houston when the referee stopped the bout by TKO. That is the only loss on Lawal's record to date and he feels confident in his ability to dictate this fight.
"He has more fights than me. He has an amateur background in MMA and boxing, so I think he might feel a little comfortable exploiting some weaknesses he sees in me," Lawal said to Sherdog.
"But the thing is, every fight I’ve fought, I fight different. You might see a fight where I’ve done some things, but you won’t see those things in this fight coming up right here.”
(CONTINUED)... ROBBIE LAWLER vs ADLAN ADMAGOV
Lawal knocked out Roger Gracie (4-1) in his last bout and has the power to rival Larkin. Considering we have seen Larkin being held down to the canvas with superior wrestling, it seems all too real that King Mo is destined to do the same in order to deliver his finishing blows.
WINNER: KING MO
ROBBIE LAWLER vs ADLAN AMAGOV
This won't take long because I don't see the fight taking very long either. Lawler (18-8) is known primarily for his "Ruthless" style of brutally knocking out his opponents, his last eight wins have come by knock out.
Lawler has knocked out Frank Trigg (21-9), Murilo Rua (20-12-2), Melvin Manhoef (24-9-1), and Scott Smith (17-9) within his last ten fights.
He felt that fighting a limbless opponent would be a more suitable match up for him but since one was not available Amagov will do.
"I would rather fight someone with no arms and no legs," Lawler said jokingly"That would probably be the best matchup for me.
The only thing that worries me about Robbie Lawler is that he has lost four of his last six fights, two by decision and two by submission.
Adlan Amagov (9-1-1) lost only his first professional fight and since then has won nine fights including six by knockout primarily in Russia until his last two Strikeforce fights which took place in the U.S.
His last fight was also a knockout victory at Strikeforce Challengers: Britt vs Sayers against Anthony Smith just 2:32 in the first round and Amagov is looking to take a big step forward by beating the former Elite XC middle weight champion.
Amagov won a silver medal at the Naga 2011 World Championship when he competed for the United States in the tournament that is a worldwide grappling competition, so Amagov has the ability to take Lawler down to the mat if he feels he can.
Maybe it's the part of me that thoroughly enjoys every Lawler fight he puts on regardless of the outcome because I know he is always coming to finish. Also because I know unequivocally that he can and says he is hungry to do so again.
WINNER: ROBBIE LAWLER
As for my pick for the winner of Luke Rockhold vs Keith Jardine you can check out this article from SRMMA and then there will be no doubt as to how this Strikeforce event will play out tomorrow night.
