Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs Brendan Schaub

So Nogueira beat Cro Cop in his prime, and Schaub beat Cro Cop in his decline. Schaub's resume doesn't otherwise convince me to expect him to win.

Johnny Waugh:
Nogueira is coming off of hip surgery and says he is feeling pain free for the first time in over 3 years in the sport. I have to take Big Nog over Schaub. Simply because I believe in "The Hybrid" and his ascension through the ranks just can't overcome what I have already seen from the living legend Nogueira.

Forrest Griffin
Remembering the first time Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and, Ultimate Fighter winner, Forrest Griffin fought in Anaheim, CA back in 2007 is difficult.

I remember almost everyone and their mother who was into MMA asking what Forrest Griffin had done wrong to make the UFC put him against what many considered the champion at light heavyweight who had yet to be crowned when the UFC pitted Griffin against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.

Fan favorite Forrest Griffin was almost certain to lose to Shogun by many critics and experts a like.

Chael Sonnen
You might not be used to seeing Chael Sonnen with nothing to really say about his opponent or anyone else he feels like talking about at the moment. Apparently when Chael Sonnen goes up against Brian Stann at UFC 136 it will most likely be the first time in a long time that Sonnen sees his opponent as a respectable man.

In an interview with Inside MMA, Brian Stann gave details about helping Chael Sonnen's friends who were former veterans in seek of employment. Brian Stann's non-profit organization, Hire Heroes USA,  plans on reducing unemployment for veterans of the armed forces.

Their mission statement states "HHUSA prioritizes veterans statistically most likely to be unemployed: veterans of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM, and veterans that are wounded or disabled."

Andrei Arlovski
Andrei Arlovski knows that in order to return to the pinnacle he was once at when he was the UFC heavyweight champion it will take a determination that many do not possess.

The fight back to the top will be one riddled with people and fans continuing to call for "The Pitbull"Arlovski to retire after his recent losing streak.

Having not won in three years, his 4 fight losing streak including 3 viscous knockout losses to Sergei Kharitonov, Brett Rogers, and Fedor Emelianenko  have caused many to question whether or not he should retire.

Arlovski says he is still young and strong with a will that can overcome any opponent. Arlovski said, "I'm not going to retire. Absolutely not." Unlike Randy Couture or Chuck Liddell, Arlovski feels he is in great physical condition and could continue to fight all the way til his 40th birthday (February 4, 2019).

SEAN SHERK

Sean Sherk says that he would want an 8-10 week training camp for his next UFC fight which would put him down as returning to the UFC in the fall.

Sherk said that he would be willing to face the stacked UFC lightweight division's top contenders to prove his place in the division once more after steroids suspensions and injuries have kept Sherk from reaching the top of the heap like he did in 2006.

Sherk told fiveknuckles.com:   "I should be back in early fall. I want another contender. Just want to keep fighting contenders and keep fighting guys that I feel like they have something to offer me, because anytime I fight somebody and I've been in the industry for so long.'
