Terry Etim, Renan Barao, and Che Mills looked like absolute beasts last night by simply destroying their opponents respectively by KO and submission.

Lets start with Terry Etim who has very very quietly put himself up there in the 155 lb picture by winning five of his last six.

Etim was on a 19 month layoff due to a rib injury that kept causing problems for the English stand out. Etim upon his return to the octagon needed only 17 seconds to choke out his opponent Edward Faalolotoo earning Submission of the Night in the process and a $70,000 bonus.

"I really enjoyed that. I've been out for a while, so I need to get back and gain some momentum," Etim said.

The Entire Etim Fight
Although Faalolotoo is now 2-3 in his career and 0-3 in the UFC, most likely will be cut from his contract, Etim needed a huge comeback fight and said himself he was chomping at the bit for an opportunity to shine again in the cage.

"I think that's what 19 months off does. I was so hungry to get back in," Etim said. "It's absolutely killed me but I'm back now and ready to make an impact in this lightweight division. Let's do this."

Che Mills moved his streak to 4 straight wins and his overall record to 14-4 with his TKO victory over previous Ultimate Fighter competitor Chris Cope.

It only took 40 seconds for the newest addition to the middleweight division to earn KO of the Night honors and a bonus for his work.

Although Mills was dominant, Cope is only 5-2 himself and will serve as more of a bout to get Mills name out and less of a challenge.

This English prospect went 1-2 in his first threw bouts but has since gone 12-2-1 since then and is an exciting edition to the UFC.

And the biggest story of the night was the main card bout between Renan Barao and Brad Pickett.

Renan Barao came out and engaged with the home crowd favorite Brad Pickett early and often in one of the nights most entertaining bouts. The fight itself was named Fight of the Night and had the crowd involved from the get go.

Barao landed a high knee to drop Pickett which was the beginning of the end for the English fighter. Barao followed Pickett down to the canvas where he continued his assault until the referee stopped the bout at the 4:09 of the first round.

"My team put me in a lot of training – boxing, Muay Thai and everything – and I felt very confident I was going to put on a good show," Barao said.

Barao lost his MMA debut but has since won a ridiculous number of bouts, 27 in a row to be exact, and feels he is ready for a bantamweight shot against Dominick Cruz after winning his two WEC matches and his two UFC fights.

Its almost impossible to not see Barao's 27 wins just smacking you right in the face but with guys like Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson still at the top of the hill that leads to Cruz its hard to determine whether he will be there anytime soon but Dana White enjoyed the fight and that's always a good sign.

"It was just an awesome fight," White said.
